| Biography | Ejival has been an active citizen of Tijuana's cultural scene since the late 80's, working on local radio programs and writing about music in various magazines throughout the world. Ejival has worked closely with some of Tijuana's most visible music players and established Static Discos, one of Mexico's most influential electronic music labels, with Fax and Murcof, two of the region's most visible electronic artists. Ejival was also the editor of Sube Baja magazine, a contemporary arts and culture magazine and currently hosts Static Radio, a weekly 2 hour electronic music program that airs weekly in the Tijuana-San Diego area. As a writer, a collection of his work was published in 1996 under the name "Rastro de Carmín sobre un fondo tiznado de gris". His musical insight in the border region appears in the catalogue from the Museum of Modern Art San Diego "Strange New World, Art and Design from Tijuana." Ejival has written about electronic music for magazines such as Rolling Stone México, URB, The Wire, XLR8R and arts section El Ángel from México's City Reforma daily newspaper. Ejival is also a frequent collaborator with members of the Nortec Collective, the New Media arts project Torolab and content director for Radioglobal.
