Robin Swanhuyser is the Program Manager at the Biennial of the Americas where she manages programmatic initiatives, operational logistics for events and programs and the cultivation of partner relationships.


Robin holds a bachelor's degree in International Studies and Spanish from Seattle University. While living in Seattle Robin was actively engaged in the community through her work at several grassroots social-justice organizations including the Seattle International Foundation, the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project and El Centro de la Raza.


From 2014 to 2016 Robin served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nicaragua where she trained English teachers implement interactive, participatory classroom activities in adverse scholastic conditions that promoted communication, cooperation, and critical-thinking skills to support the content of the national English curriculum.


Robin was born in Washington State and spent her childhood split between the Columbia River Gorge and rural Baja California Sur, Mexico. Robin speaks Spanish fluently and has lived and worked in Mexico, Nicaragua and Argentina. Robin is an avid rock climber, novice mountain biker and lover of all outdoor mountain activities.
